Vista, CA: Starting this month, Homie UP YEP has been opening their doors to the youth in North County San Diego from middle school to high school students. The mission of Homie UP YEP is to support youth and their families through an after-school program offering educational and social services that respect and promote their cultural heritage.

This program is funded by the Office of Minority Health (OMH), part of the Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) which makes all of the services that Homie UP YEP provides free for all enrolled youth and parents.

Homie UP YEP will be focussing on enhancing this six objectives: Academic Enrichment, Life Skills, Health and Wellbeing, Family Engagement, Community Responsiveness and Cultural Enrichment, through the partnership and collaboration with Mano a Mano Foundation, North County Health Services, faculty and students from local universities and colleges, Survivors of Torture, law enforcement, Universidad Popular, and local school districts.
